school Education
My academic journey reflects a unique blend of linguistics, technology, and cybersecurity, driven by a passion for understanding and securing the intersection of language and digital systems. Below is a detailed timeline of my education and training.
Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria
2008 – 2012
Focused on syntax, phonetics, semantics, and the structure of human language. Developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong foundation in language systems and cross-cultural communication.
Thesis: “A Computational Linguistics Perspective on African Languages in Cyberspace.” Examined the role of African languages in the digital world, focusing on natural language processing and technologies for language preservation and accessibility.
Online Courses & Training
2020 – 2021
During the COVID-19 lockdown, I transitioned my career trajectory through online courses in programming, web development, and remote collaboration. Prominent among them was the Google Africa Developer Scholarship (GADS), where I completed six months of training in Android Development with Java, gaining access to Pluralsight content and mentorship from the Andela Learning Community.
Higher School of Economics, Russia
2021 – 2023 (Program Interrupted)
Focused on natural language processing (NLP), computational linguistics, and data-driven text analysis. Gained expertise in extracting insights from textual data, leveraging AI for language modeling, and applying advanced linguistic analytics in various domains, including cybersecurity and digital forensics.
Thesis (Unfinished): Automated Extraction of Attack Entities from Ransomware Notes: Leveraging NLP and Machine Learning in Cybersecurity. Researched the potential of NLP and ML algorithms to detect and classify ransomware threats by analyzing linguistic patterns in ransom notes, with applications in threat intelligence and digital forensics.
Oxford Home Study Centre & EC-Council
2022
Earned a Diploma in Cyber Security from the Oxford Home Study Centre, covering malware analysis, digital forensics, cybersecurity policies, and risk management. Also obtained the CEH Practical (Certified Ethical Hacker Practical) certification, validating my hands-on expertise in ethical hacking, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment.
University of East London, UK
2023 – Present
Specializing in digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, and information system security. Key modules include forensic analysis, security management, and IT law, with a strong emphasis on practical, real-world applications.
Thesis: Currently researching Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs), analyzing their implications for system security, user privacy, and data protection.
Brussels, Belgium
October 2024 – July 2025
An intensive program focusing on SOC monitoring, real-time threat detection, forensic investigations, and security compliance frameworks. Equipping me with hands-on skills in modern cybersecurity operations.
